Minerva Area Christian School is seeking a full-time Administrator. The school is a ministry of and affiliated with the Minerva First Christian Church. The school is currently Pre-K through 8th grade and has an enrollment of approximately 150 students. Minerva Area Christian School is seeking an individual whose doctrine aligns with the Restoration movement and who is an active member of a Christian Church/Church of Christ. The applicant must hold a bachelor's degree and be able to obtain a State Administrative certificate for a chartered nonpublic school. This position supervises all school staff. The candidate must understand the philosophy of Christian education and have the ability to implement it into the life of the school. Minerva Area Christian School began its ministry in 1965 by providing a Christian kindergarten program until 1973. It then existed solely as a pre-kindergarten for area children until 1998. Then, in the fall of 1998, Minerva Area Christian School received state licensure with the Ohio Department of Education and began offering kindergarten for two consecutive years, followed by an expansion into an elementary school program over the next six school years. Minerva Area Christian School then extended its state charter to include a middle school program and welcomed its first seventh grade class in the fall of 2006.
